About these terms

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Lulo Labs ("we", "us") about Garnished. By downloading or using the app you accept them; if you don't, please don't use Garnished. Our Privacy Policy and Food safety & AI disclaimer are part of these terms. You must be at least 13 to use Garnished, and 18 (or have a parent's permission) to buy anything in it.

The service

Garnished creates recipes, nutrition estimates and plate pictures with AI from what you tell it. It is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend or discontinue any feature, or the app, at any time.

Your use and acceptable use

Garnished is for your personal, non-commercial use. Don't misuse it: no breaking the law, no trying to make the AI produce harmful or offensive content, no scraping, reselling or bulk copying, and no tampering with or disrupting the app or our systems. We may suspend or end your access at our discretion for any misuse.

AI content and food safety

Recipes, nutrition figures and pictures are generated by AI and can be wrong. We make no promise that they are accurate, complete or safe for you, and they are not medical, dietary or allergy advice. Garnished tries to follow the allergies and diet rules you enter but can't guarantee it. You are responsible for checking ingredients and labels for allergens and for cooking food safely. If something looks wrong, don't follow it, and report it in the app.

Purchases

• Garnished Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. The app shows the current price, billing period and any free trial before you buy.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically, and your account is charged for the next period within 24 hours before the current one ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If you take a free trial, you're charged when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before.
• Manage or cancel in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions on your iPhone. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription.
• Credit packs are one-time purchases of credits used to create recipes. Credits have no cash value, aren't refundable or transferable except where the law requires, and may expire or change as shown in the app.
• We may offer different prices, trials or special offers, and may change prices, credit costs and features.

Content and intellectual property

The app, its design and its content belong to Lulo Labs or our licensors; we give you a personal, revocable licence to use it. You may use the recipes Garnished makes for you for your personal use. You let us store and process what you enter to run the service, and we may use feedback, recipe reports and the recipes Garnished generates, without identifying you, to improve Garnished.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for anything you cook or eat based on Garnished. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50.

Indemnity

If you misuse Garnished or break these terms and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from it.

Apple

These terms are between you and Lulo Labs, not Apple. Apple's Standard EULA also applies; where they conflict, these terms prevail except where the EULA protects Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Garnished, its support or maintenance, or any claims about it, and has no warranty obligation beyond refunding the purchase price. You confirm you're not in a US-embargoed country or on a US restricted-parties list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time and will change the date above. Continuing to use Garnished after an update means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. Nothing here removes rights you have under the consumer protection laws where you live.
